Home Theater:

Home Theaters are as individual as their owners. Some are very elaborate rooms with theater style chairs, overhead video projectors, and 9 foot-screens -- complete with curtains that open and close at the touch of a button. Other home theaters are much less formal, requiring no more than a big screen TV and a few well-placed speakers.

No matter what your needs may be, we can design, and install a system that reflects your exact requirements, from a family room with small, hidden speakers to a full-fledged custom theater with powerful sound and seating for all your friends and family.

Multi-Room:

Multi-room audio and video gives you convenient control of your entertainment system from any room in the house. Mom can listen to her favorite CDs while soaking in the tub; the kids can watch Saturday morning cartoons via the satellite receiver in their rooms; and Dad can enjoy his favorite DVDs in the family room on the wide-screen TV.

We offer multi-room systems, from the very sophisticated to the most basic. You may choose a system that includes a centrally located 400 disc CD/DVD changer, HDTV cable box, and FM tuner – all controlled via color touch-screens through-out your home. Or if you prefer, you can opt for a simple audio-only multi-room system with keypad control. The possibilities are endless.

Lighting, Communications & Home Automation:

No home theater or whole house control system would be complete without remote controlled lighting. We offer everything from single room scene lighting via a handheld remote, to complete home control of lights, thermostat, and security system integration.

We also offer home phone systems that provide room to room hands-free intercom, paging, music on hold, conferencing, Caller ID, and door-phone intercoms so you know who's at your door from any room.

Need high-speed internet access? We'll connect any room in your home to super-fast DSL or cable modem internet service – either wired or wireless so you can surf the web at pool-side.

Dawn Gordon Luks Ron Luks

A veteran consumer electronics journalist with over 20 years experience; Dawn Gordon Luks has written over 2000 articles, product reviews, buyers' guides and advice columns for publications such as:

In 1985, Dawn founded and managed the Consumer Electronics Forums, the definitive electronic resource for consumer electronics news, product information and advice on the CompuServe online service (now a division of America Online). Dawn ran the Electronics Forums for 13 years, after which Microsoft hired her and her husband Ron Luks to create and run a similar service for the Microsoft Network.

Today, Dawn designs and installs home audio, home theater, home telephone and home automation systems via her company Egret Electronics. Egret has been at the forefront of home electronics technology – both providing a personalized experience for it's clients, and eliminating the confusion inherent in today's complicated systems.

In addition to her installation schedule, Dawn writes a highly popular online electronics column called The Cutting Edge for AOL Web Properties, and she is also the electronics editor/writer for an upscale local Palm Beach County publication called Designer's Showcase.

Ron Luks is Co-Owner of Egret Electronics and a principal in Fun Online Corp. Since 1980, Ron has been providing content creation and licensing services, online community management and real time publication services to the major commercial online services including CompuServe, Netscape.com, AOL and the Microsoft Network. Prior to his pioneering services to the online industry, Ron was a partner in the Wall Street firm of Ernst & Co., and a member of the American Stock Exchange and other national stock and commodity exchanges.
